Case Study: Let It Roll

Brief
In 2025, the Let It Roll festival moved from the premises of Milovice Airport to a new location by Lake Most. With the new site, it was necessary to design and implement complete water supply and wastewater systems to ensure a robust and faultless operation.

Specific Challenges
The first challenge was ensuring the reliability of water from a decommissioned branch of the local water main. It was also necessary to provide running potable water for visitors, which was not possible from the local pipeline.
Regarding wastewater, the biggest challenge was securing sufficient capacity in case the local sewer system could not handle peak loads, including variables such as permanently connected facilities around the lake that operate year-round.

Solution
Thanks to our technologies, we were able to treat water from the decommissioned water network, which was confirmed by a public health laboratory after testing samples from all collection points at the festival. Potable water was supplied using two containment bladders, allowing us to store drinking water delivered by a local supplier.
After calculating consumption, we prepared wastewater containment bladders with a total capacity of 400 m³ in addition to the existing sewer system. When the sewer system could not cope, wastewater was automatically pumped into the bladders and then gradually discharged back into the sewer outside peak operating times. Thanks to this solution, there were no outages at any sanitary facilities, and the need to transport wastewater by sewage trucks was eliminated.

Key Outcomes

  • We have installed 3,500 meters of potable water and wastewater pipelines
  • We have created wastewater storage with a total capacity of 200,000 liters
  • We have pumped more than 2 million liters of water
